The Sino-German CSR Project introduces CSR strategies and policies and
facilitates the implementation of voluntary standards on four levels:
- Chinese government institutions are strengthened by:
- Training and knowledge exchange on CSR strategies, research and dialogue,
taking into account China’s social and political conditions
- Assisting the government in developing policies for Chinese enterprises to
incorporate social and environmental concerns into their business
practices
- Intermediaries are supported by:
- Advising on how to develop and implement CSR strategies, policies and
guidelines
- Developing information portals as well as publicly available tools that
contribute to a more efficient and transparent services market for CSR and
voluntary standards
- Enterprises are targeted by:
- Implementing public-private partnership (PPP) projects with to create
hands-on CSR business cases and derive best practice case studies
- Developing and implementing effective CSR strategies via PPP projects and
voluntary standards as well as enabling them to more effectively communicate
with relevant stakeholders
- International exchange on CSR and aligning voluntary standards are promoted
by:
- Creating and strengthening existing partnerships between Chinese and foreign
institutions
- Encouraging new strategic partnerships with organizations from relevant
stakeholder groups to facilitate exchange on CSR between China, the EU, and
other OECD countries
