On 5 June 2010, The Fifth International CSR Forum and Ceremony to Announce the “2009 GoldenBee CSR China Honor Roll” was held at Beijing Empark Grand Hotel. The Forum was jointly hosted by China WTO Tribune, the Sino-German Corporate Social Responsibility Project and the China Association of Trade in Services (CATIS), and co-hosted by CSR Europe, the Council for Better Corporate Citizenship (CBCC) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The event, which focused on the theme of the “Responsible Drive behind Economic Recovery”, explored recent developments in CSR worldwide and focused on CSR’s roll as a driver of economic recovery.
The morning session featured a panel of experts that explored CSR development trends in China, Japan, the United States, and Europe. Four breakout roundtable sessions were held in the afternoon. Topics included: (i) Responsible Leadership -- Business Leaders in the New Economic Era (ii) Responsible Competitiveness -- A New Drive Behind the Transformation of Regional Economic Development Approach (iii) Responsible Business Opportunities in a Low-carbon Economy, and (iv) CSR -- A New Pathway to Industry Sustainability.
The Forum concluded with a ceremony to announce the 2009 GoldenBee CSR China Honor Roll, which recognizes both Chinese and foreign companies for their outstanding achievements in CSR in China. A total of thirty enterprises were given awards for CSR performance, and an additional thirty enterprises received honorable mentions. |
