On March 30 and 31 2010, a training workshop, themed Corporate Social Responsibility Tools and Strategies for Sustainable Tea and Agriculture, was jointly held at Overseas Chinese hotel in Beijing, by Social Resources Institute (SRI), the Centre for Research on Multinational Corporation (SOMO) and the Solidaridad International. The workshop served as a platform of sharing and discussing CSR tools and strategies for both suppliers and experts.
Mr. Rolf Dietmar, Director of the Sino-German CSR Project, presented a case study on responsible supply chain management in the chili pepper industry, which was realized during a Public Private Partnership Project with the CSR pilot company Chenguang Bio-Tech Group Co., Ltd. Lessons learned as well as difficulties encountered and solved were shared with the participants. The case study presented by Mr. Rolf Dietmar triggered a lively discussion with the participants.
