On 2 March 2010, the Sino-German Corporate Social Responsibility Project Director, Mr. Rolf Dietmar, was invited to participate in and speak on the discussion panel of the 8th Transnational Corporations China Forum, organized by the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, the Ministry of Commerce and the Beijing New-century Academy on Transnational Corporations, at the Kerry Centre in Beijing.
Having invited a wide range of experts, professionals and practitioners from government, civil society, and the private sector, the annual forum in 2010 focused on “Strategic Opportunities and Compliance Management of Multinational Corporations in the Post-financial Crisis Era” and there were three panel discussions underscoring different topics- “Multinational Corporation and China’s Low Carbon Economy”, “Innovative Modalities for Chinese Corporations to Embrace the World” as well as “Compliance and Risk Management”.
In the third panel discussion, Mr. Dietmar discussed with other speakers, who were Zhou Fangsheng, Deputy Director of Enterprise Reform Bureau, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council; Steve Malone, Vice-Chairman of General Electric China; Zhao Aili, Vice-President and Regional Compliance Supervisor, Siemens (China); Liu Yajun, Chief of Department of Foreign Investment Administration, MofCom; Jiang Heng, Vice-Director of Beijing New-century Academy on Transnational Corporations; and moderator Zhou Zhixing, CEO of Leaders Magazine. |
