During 21-29 January 2010, a 3rd round of site visits was conducted to six Zhejiang-based companies that participate in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects focusing on CSR. Within the framework of a comprehensive CSR strategy all six companies also developed an implementation plan to improve their Hazardous Substance Safety, Material Resource Conservation and Solid Waste Management. The visits mainly aimed at monitoring the implementation status of the activities as laid down in the implementation plans, and to provide need-based support or recommendations to the problems encountered by or observed in the visited pilot companies. In general, all companies have made good progress in implementing the activities of their plans.

Till now, the six pilot companies have completed most of their tasks. Results will be summarized in final monitoring reports, which are expected to be ready by March 2010. Before the conclusion of the one-year PPP project, the companies will continue tackling the problems observed during the site visits according to recommendations provided by the German expert Dr. Jochen Vida.
