From 11 to 20 November, 2009, the Sino-German CSR Project team and Mr. Paul Wenman, an international expert on CSR strategy, visited the eight pilot companies in the CSR Public Private Partnership Programmes in Hebei and conducted a CSR strategy review and monitoring consultation for each company. Top management, the CSR coordinator and other CSR team members participated in the one-day consultations.
The consultation was aimed at assessing company implementation of their projects as well as providing comments for 2010. It consisted of three components: 1) assessing progress based on the CSR implementation plans (which were developed by the companies at the beginning of the projects); 2) reviewing company-level CSR policies and providing suggestions for revisions and 3) facilitating the companies to identify activities to be conducted in 2010 in order to further implement CSR. Group work was organized and a brainstorming approach was taken during the consultations.
Additionally, the Sino-German CSR Project conducted random interviews of company management and ground-floor workers in order to determine their understanding of CSR concepts, their CSR policies and the impact of their projects. |
