On 27 and 28 October 2009The 2009 CSR Asia Summit was held in Kuala Lumpur. With the theme “Sustainable Business as the Road to Recovery”, the event was aimed at exploring key CSR issues and strategies to demonstrate leadership in times of global economic crises.
The Summit encompassed a wide variety of CSR topics in number of different formats including a keynote panel, 18 breakout sessions and the CSR Bazaar and the World Café. Around 300 representatives from business, governments, non-government organisations and other CSR practitioners participated in the event.
Mr. Rolf Dietmar, Director of the Sino-German CSR Project, gave a presentation titled “Supporting China’s Dynamic CSR-Development – Experiences and Insights from Sino-German CSR Cooperation”. The background of CSR development in China, trends and situations in different regions were introduced, and experiences of the Sino-German CSR Project were shared with participants. |
