Starting from 28 August 2009, the Sino-German CSR Project provided a one-day consultancy on the development of a CSR strategy and implementation plan to six pilot companies that have participated in the Zhejiang CSR Public Private Partnership (PPP) Programme. Top management and responsible persons of functional departments from companies participated in the activity.
The consultancy was conducted by Mr. Rolf Dietmar, Director of the Sino-German CSR Project, in cooperation with Ms. Zhe Ru, a national CSR expert. Basic knowledge on CSR, such as the concept, development trend in China and abroad as well as the benefits to companies were introduced. Key elements of a corporate CSR strategy were presented and adapted to the specific situation of the individual companies. Mainly through intensive group work and brain storming exercises under the guidance and facilitation of Mr. Rolf Dietmar and Ms. Zhe Ru, the six key elements of the CSR strategy were discussed and elaborated. A tailor-made CSR implementation plan in support of the six key elements was drafted jointly at the end of the consultancy, highlighting the activities, indicators, deadlines and responsible persons. |
